We are dependent on a volunteer base that is excited and passionate about building a better Nashville. We rely on our volunteers in order to execute our day to day operations and to provide our customers with the best shopping experience possible.
We have two separate volunteer opportunities: “In-Store Volunteer” and “Inventory Helper.” We utilize the Hands On Nashville (HON) website to organize our volunteer opportunities, and you will find links to their website in the descriptions below where you can sign up. At this time, you must be 14+ years of age to volunteer at The Store.
- “In-Store Volunteer” shifts will involve greeting customers, helping people with questions while they shop, checking people out at the register, bagging groceries, checking temperatures on the cooler/freezer/produce coolers, end of the day cleanup, maintaining store cleanliness throughout the day, stocking shelves as needed, unloading pallets, stocking the produce section, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed. Here is the link for the "In-Store Volunteer" opportunity on the HON website.
- “Inventory Helper” shifts will be the first Tuesday of every month and that will involve helping count and log our inventory as well as reorganizing storage shelves and pallets as needed. Here is the link for the "Inventory Helper" opportunity.
What is your impact as a Volunteer at The Store?
- Your 4.5 hour shift as a volunteer allows The Store to direct more funding to purchasing food. In fact, enough food to feed 50 people for a day!
An employee paid:
$15/hr. x 4.5 hours = $67.50
- Your donated time directly helps feed an individual or family in need!
